Memories & Candles
I was deeply saddened when I heard of Curt's passing. I was the fortunate women who was blessed to have been given the opportunity to marry that sweet man. Although it was brief. I never stopped loving him and always wanted the very best for him. As much as I'm sure you all are grieving the loss of that warm and loving brother and uncle, I suspect you rejoice with me knowing he is with your parents, Mirium, and the

Curt and his family were my neighbors for as long as I lived on Patterson Ave. One of a kind guy that would do absolutely anything for you. He will always be remembered to me as an OG of Bayfront and will be missed! Rest in peace my friend!

So sorry to hear about Curt. He and went to high school together. He was quiet and very nice. He looks like he didn’t age a bit. Same sweet smile.

I too knew Curt from the yacht club. He was a wonderful guy, who always offered to go the extra mile for his "regulars". He was so efficient, that we would try to play tricks on him, to see, if we could rattle him, but it never worked. He was always on to us. His level of service and devotion could never be replaced and he has been missed, since his retirement. Please accept my humble condolences on his passing.

Curt had such an easy-going personality and was never flustered despite the stress and demands of dealing with the membership. He turned what had been a poorly-run part of the club into a model of efficiency, and never complained and

Harry and I were office buddies at SRP and were close friends for many years. We hunted together and fished together many times. We knew Curt from when he was born. I am sorry for his passing. My sympathies are with you, Rusty. May the Holy Spirit of God comfort your heart.

Curt Huxford was one of the hardest working, most reliable, & conscientious man I have had the pleasure to know. During his long tenure at the Carolina Yacht
Club, Curt had the rare gift of making all of his patrons feel extremely special & fully sated. RIP Curt.
